MarioPartyDS.com started back near
the start of January 2006.
I had been wanting a Mario Party for the DS
for along while. The DS is perfect for a Mario Party, even more so than a
console, with two screens, a touch screen, a microphone, the ability to
verse others and not see their screen for certain games.
I then thought
that maybe if I started a Mario Party Petition, it might somehow give
Nintendo a slight push to make a Mario Party for the DS sooner than they
may.
So I started MarioPartyDS.com with a petition, and a section to
submit mini-game ideas, which I thought could be a fun little
section.
The petition was up for a few months, getting a decent amount
of signatures. Then spam-bots came in and started taking over. I had to
shut the petition down for a few months. Then once a verification code
could be used to help stop them, the petition came back.
Once again it
started to get a decent amount of signatures.
Then E3 happened.
About a week before I just kept hoping they'd announce a Mario Party for
the DS, and then they did. I was incredibly excited.
The petition was
then ended, but the site could really start up.
I had been thinking
what I would do with the site if it was announced, and now I am doing it.
Bringing all the latest info and media of Mario Party DS until its
release, and then making this site into somewhat of a Mario Party DS
Shrine, with Info on characters,
mini-games, boards, cheats, guides,
media, and anything else Mario Party DS related.
